Yesterday we had a heat wave. Whenever my Girls tell me it's hot in CA, I know that soon we should get some relief from the cold. Today I went outside and started taking pictures of the beginning of Spring. The first sign that warmer weather is coming is the blooming Saucer Magnolia tree. We have several in our yard. For a week the trees are in Pink Splendor and then the trees snow their pink blossoms to the ground.

They are beautiful, I hope the rain did not hurt them too bad. seems like we get a storm the minute they bloom and away they go. Thanks for sharing. Richard at My Old Historic House.
